Ok here is the Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1000 with the VPC-L07W wide angle adapter. The adapter is a lot bigger than I was expecting.

The instruction manual actually warns you against pointing this improperly at people as they might mistaken it for a gun and get you into a bad situation.

Taken with the Xacti video camera that cost ?107 . Compare with the Nikon D40 that cost ?300. To my eyes the cheapo video camera took a better still photo as seen on this screen!?!?
